Despite uniform high standards of service and technical innovations with which owners of world hotel brands fill numbers of the ultramodern hotels, many travellers prefer to stop in minihotels and apartments for short term rent. The standard classification «stars» obliges hotels to place visitors in numbers of strictly certain area and to render them of service according to the confirmed list. Minihotels are not obliged to adhere to these rules so why they so are popular?

The name – minihotels – says that they take place, as a rule, in small buildings. In the centre of any European capital, and also on resorts there will be ancient private residences and the modern buildings which owners are ready to offer visitors comfortable conditions of residing, and also all necessary conveniences. In minihotels can be only one-two numbers which visitors will receive all attention and care of owners, or some numbers which, as a rule, are issued in individual style. Many minihotels settle down in buildings with the rich historical past, their personnel can tell hours about stories of the hotel and the vicinities, the well-known visitors and local legends. The main thing that distinguishes minihotels are special, almost family atmosphere, and special attention to needs of visitors on which it is not necessary to count even in the most luxurious complexes. That is why many visitors, having stopped in minihotel once, come back again and again.

In Ukraine the absolute leader on number of minihotels and Kiev apartment. Today in a city more than 570 minihotels and apartments, and also small hotels and хостелов. Architectural features of many buildings in the centre of Kiev have allowed to arrange on the average floors stretched sometimes on the whole quarter, and also number penthouses with amenities. As a rule, minihotels are capable to offer the low prices at high quality of service, and to complain of absence of lodgers to their owners it is not necessary.
