Hampshire Constabulary refers to the police force of the Isle of Wight and Hampshire, responsible for patrolling these two territories of southern England. There is a rather different side to this police force as they have a band of their own known as the Band of Hampshire Constabulary. Being more than 110 years old, the band is has its home at Netley, at the training headquarters of the force.
The band has the retired and serving staff of the police force. Also the family and support of the force staff members can also become a part of the band. Musicians from outside the police force also get a chance to participate in the band when the band requires extra players. The members of the band are volunteers, and this band runs with its own funds. They do a lot of shows in Hampshire. If you are in Hampshire for whatever reason, try to catch a show.
